The Precision Building System

Industrializing Construction

A major step to achieve our sustainability goals is “affordability” through industrializing the construction process. Automating key aspects of the building process and centralizing production allow Landmark to save substantial costs through volume single point materials procurement, lowering materials waste and speeding up construction time while increasing quality.

Panelization of floors, walls, roofs and the construction of key components like stairs and fireplaces eliminate weeks of time from the building cycle.

Industrializing has led to many benefits. Homes are more comfortable, the construction process takes less time, harmful carbon emissions have been reduced by approximately 6 tons per home, material usage is maximized and construction waste and site theft has been minimized.

Is this a pre-fab home?

Not at all. A pre-fabricated home is built in sections then shipped to site for assembly. They are completely finished inside and out requiring only minor work to complete them. To lower costs, pre-fab designs are limited and cannot deliver much layout variety.

Panelization is very different. We only fabricate major structural components, for any type of home, that is most efficiently prepared in a manufacturing facility. This includes only floors, walls, and roofs, plus a few other major elements.

These components are then efficiently constructed on site with faster turnaround time. The process results in better materials, less waste and a tighter, more efficient home envelope.

All aspects of finishing the home are performed on site as a in a traditional build.
