compared to fibreglass batt insulation. Batt insulation loses effectiveness the
colder it gets but sprayfoam does not.
- Sprayfoam acts as an air and sound barrier and prevents air leaks
- Active heat recovery ventilators (HRV) maintain healthies indoor air quality by removing old, stale air
and replace it with fresh air
- HRVs also act as heat exchangers transferring heat in the old air to incoming fresh air saving money from not having to run the furnace as often
- Triple pane windows with a Low-E coating and inert argon gas filler moderates heat gain / loss while also acting as a sound barrier from outside noise. The UV filtering properties of the Low-E coating also reduces fading of your furnishings.
- Low VOC materials: VOC stands for volatile organic compounds, a class of chemical compounds that can cause short or long-term health problems. Solvents are among the most common and paint & finishes are usually good sources of VOC's.
- We use pre-finished hardwood as it reduces dust and off-gases during installation.
- All carpets are certified to have low VOC off-gasing levels, improving your indoor air quality.
