EnerGuide
How does BUILTGreen and EnerGuide work?
BUILTGreen is an industry sanctioned voluntary program to promote green building practices. It has four focus areas: Energy efficiency; indoor air quality; resource use; and overall environmental impact.
The EnerGuide rating system is administered by Natural Resources Canada and represents standards for home energy performance.
So, how does a Landmark home compare?
Landmark is the largest volume sustainable builder in Alberta.
Of the 700 homes registered in Alberta with EnerGuide ratings over 80, Landmark has built 424 of them.
In Alberta, an average new home built to code ranges from a 68 – 74 EnerGuide rating. Landmarks range from 78 – 86 making them significantly more efficient while still being affordable. As we move toward a more regulated “new home” market place for energy
conservation, these tremendous efficiencies will result in higher resale values.
