As a member of the Production Department, the Machine Operator is responsible for operation of computer numerical control machines for fabrication, assembly and finishing of building components and panels. The Machine operator also performs tasks involving physical labor and operation of equipment and a variety of hand and power tools.

    *The successful candidate will be working Sunday to Thursday 4:30pm to 1:00am. There will be a shift premium of $1.50 provided to employees working this shift.*

  • Architectural Technologist

    Position Overview:
    The Landmark Group of Builders is seeking an Architectural Technologist for a 6 month temporary position.  The Architectural Technologist will be responsible to design and plan the construction of buildings, primarily in the residential field working closely with Project Managers and other stakeholders in the development and execution of projects.

    The Architectural Technologist is directly responsible and accountable to the General Manager from whom (s)he receives his/her authority and overall direction.  The Architectural Designer will also receive direction and day to day instruction from the Architect.

    Responsibilities Include:

    Design buildings, and plan and assist in the execution of the construction process.
    Design the exteriors for multi-family residential projects.
    Consult with stakeholders to review the objectives, requirements and budgets of projects.
    Prepare and present feasibility reports and design proposals.
    Assist with site selection.
    Produce detailed workings, drawings and specifications.
    Ensure that the environmental impact of the project is limited.
    Follow building codes, zoning laws, fire regulations, and other ordinances.
    Prepare information regarding design, structure specifications, materials, colour, equipment, estimated costs, and construction time.

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

    Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture.
    Previous experience in residential apartments.
    1-3 years of architecture experience preferred.
    Demonstrated understanding of architectural theories and principles.
    Previous experience in designing elevations.
    Demonstrated knowledge of Canadian Architectural standards.
    Demonstrated knowledge of codes for the Province of Alberta.
    Must be proficient in Autocad and Sketchup.  Revit experience beneficial.
    Understanding of wood construction methodologies required.

    Assist in maintaining accurate construction files.

    Responsibilities Include:

    Provide trade support including but not limited to loading, distributing and moving applicable materials.
    Rough carpentry tasks including but not limited to :

    • Installing backing for storage cages
    • Building buck outs for block walls
    • Replacing crooked studs if necessary.
    • Installing temp doors as necessary.
    • Demo elevator shaft temporary floors.

    Responsibilities Include:

    • Customer Liaison for all new home buyers, providing a comfortable transition between construction and warranty.
    • Plan and conduct scheduled customer site visits and new home delivery.
    • Monitor progress of construction on homes and support the construction department in identifying home delivery details for customers.
    • Liaison with all front line personnel to ensure all customer issues are communicated and resolved.
    • Create and maintain warranty documentation.
