  • Customer Liaison

    Position Overview:

    As a member of the Warranty Department, the Customer Liaison is accountable and responsible for the new home possession process.  To achieve this objective, the core responsibilities of the Customer Liaison include: conducting Quality Reviews with Construction Site Managers, educating the home owners in the functionality and maintenance required for their new home, and to turn over the completed home to the customer on the day of possession.

    Responsibilities Include:

    • Keep up to date on company products and specifications.
    • Plan for and conduct New Home Orientation (NHO) and Welcome Home Celebration (WHC) with customers.
    • Assist Construction in identifying deficiencies, and work at trying to eliminate common items so they do not occur in the future.
    • Facilitate all possession documentation.
    • Follow, evaluate and enhance Customer Liaison and Warranty department policies and procedures.
    • Maintain a high level of customer service.
    • Maintain company vehicle to standards.
    • Attend applicable weekly and monthly meetings.

     

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

    • High school diploma.
    • 5 years’ experience in residential customer service, warranty or residential new home construction.

    Responsibilities Include:

    • Install framing structures or fixtures, such as windows, flooring, trim and other hardware.

    • Maintaining safety standards in the work place.

    Landmark Building Solutions is seeking a Lumber Yard Forklift Operator to work our afternoon shift at our state of the art plant located at 4303 – 55 Avenue, Edmonton, AB T6B 3S8.

    The successful candidate will be working Sunday to Thursday 4:30pm to 1:00am. There will be a shift premium of $1.00 provided to employees working this shift.

    Responsibilities Include:

    • Operate lifting devices such as forklifts, hoists, elevating platforms, lift beams and swivel hooks.
    • Manually load and unload materials from pallets, skids, platforms and lifting devices.
    • Support inventory control with accurate documentation.

    Position Overview:

    The Landmark Group of Builders is seeking a Senior Accountant. Reporting to the Accounting Manager, the Senior Accountant will perform full cycle accounting.

    Responsibilities Include:
    • Performing full cycle accounting and assisting with various projects.
    • Preparing financial reports by compiling information, preparing statements, and utilizing appropriate accounting control procedures.
    • Reviewing advances, deposit payments and reconciliations prepared by AP and AR staff
    • Preparing short-term cash flow projections and analysis.
    • Completing month end journal entries and closing procedures for assigned division in a timely fashion.
    • Preparing the divisional monthly financial statements to ensure financial information is complete and accurate. This includes but is not limited to; reviewing accounts and ensuring that financial information reconciles to the general ledger, WIP analysis is prepared accurately and reflective of current projects, preparing and/or reviewing the appropriate divisional analysis, ensuring commentary and management reports are accurate and reflective of the business unit.
    • Assisting the Accounting Manager and Controller as required, in the quarterly, and annually budget process.
    • Working with the General Manager of specified divisions to provide financial information and ad-hoc reporting.
    • Liaison with lenders and lawyers for mortgages and customer closings as well as working with Sales and Construction to ensure that the transaction process is performed in a timely manner.
    • Schedule and process land payments and maintain all land purchase agreements.

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
    • Recognized Canadian accounting designation combined with a minimum of five years’ experience in a similar role.
