  • Customer Service Coordinator

    Position Overview:
    The Landmark Group of Companies Inc. is seeking a Customer Service Coordinator. As a member of the Construction Department, the Customer Service Coordinator is accountable for the coordination of all warranty activities, assisting in an excellent customer service experience and providing administrative support, all in accordance with Company policies and procedures in order to achieve the department’s goals.

    Responsibilities Include:
    • Create and maintain home owner warranty files.
    • Develop and maintain reports summarizing warranty items, issue and distribute approved work orders, monitor completion of work orders, initiate follow up calls to home owners and trades, and close homeowner warranty files when complete.
    • Ensure overdue service report is distributed to trades personnel for updating.
    • Prioritize warranty department workload volumes and provide daily follow-up with trades and suppliers in conjunction with Customer Service Technicians and customers to ensure all warranty work required is completed to Company satisfaction.
    • Receive and coordinate all incoming communication from homeowners and direct to the appropriate trade(s).
    • Bring recurring problems to the attention of the construction department.
    • Review customer questionnaires and resolve any outstanding issues.
    • Assist with warranty related invoice auditing and create trade back charges.
    • Create purchase orders and record in individual files.
    • Send various letters and reminders to homeowners at appropriate times, including warranty wrap-up letters.
    • Attend and participate in on site demonstrations and information sessions to educate self in respect to new products installed/used in new homes.
    • Maintain all warranty department processes and procedures.
    • Liaise with various departments to communicate information pertaining to warranty.
    • Organize and attend warranty meetings following up on any unresolved warranty issues. Request and following up on suggestions to improve customer service. 

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

    • Minimum 2 years’ experience in customer service.
    • Residential Construction knowledge would be a definite asset.
    • Intermediate computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
    • Excellent interpersonal skills.

  • Customer Service Technician

    Position Overview:
    The Landmark Group of Builders is seeking a Customer Service Technician.  As a member of the Construction Department, the Customer Service Technician is accountable to correct any warranty deficiencies and complete service calls and inspections.  The Customer Service Technician will provide an excellent customer service experience and adhere to the Company policies and procedures in order to achieve Company service goals.

    Responsibilities Include:

  • Class 1 Driver

    Competition Number: LBS-35-14-LW

    Position Overview:
    Landmark Building Solutions is seeking a Class 1 Truck Driver to work in and around the Edmonton Area. As a member of the Logistics department the Class 1 Driver is accountable and responsible for the safe transportation of materials to job sites.  He/she has a responsibility to ensure all legal requirements and maintenance of company equipment that he/she is responsible for is adhered to.  The successful candidate will be working Monday to Friday.

    Responsibilities Include:

    • Load, haul and deliver materials to job sites.
    • Practice proper, legal load securement at all times.
    • Maintain LBS and OHS safety standards in the work place.
    • Maintain a legal Driver’s logbook.
    • Complete pre and post trip inspections and correct or report all defects immediately.

     

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

    • Valid class 1 driver’s license.
    • Knowledge of the Edmonton and area would be an asset
    • Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Class 1 Driver
    • Experience with wide and long loads using a fifth wheel tractor and gooseneck trailer combination

  • Residential Construction Manager

    Competition Number: LBS-41-14LW

    Landmark Building Solutions is seeking a Residential Construction Manager for our Edmonton location. Reporting to the General Manager, the Residential Construction Manager is responsible for the overall direction of field construction activities including framing, roofing, exterior finishing, and the associated budget and construction schedule for these activities. In addition to the core manufacturing activities, the Residential Construction Manager is responsible for all after service activities including, inspection, service, and warranty.

    Responsibilities Include:

    • Drive operational matrices of the construction department, identify variance, present recommendations and implement corrective actions to achieve business operational goals.
    • Foster and develop collaboration between crews to ensure an integrate approach to operations and fulfill the department’s goals and objectives.
    • Provide construction employees education in new techniques, safety, policies and procedures.
    • Track all aspects of construction: including performance of constructions employees, workplace health and safety issues, scopes of work, construction schedules, quality, and maintenance of codes/regulations.
    • Manage construction budget by monitoring department expenditures; identify variances; implement corrective actions; provide non-project annual operating and capital budget information.
    • Provide leadership in coaching, mentoring, personnel selection, professional development to achieve prescribed objectives.
    • Interview, hire, train, develop, plan and assign work, evaluate performance, recommend compensation and discipline actions according to the Company policies and procedures.
    • Provide a high standard of customer services (both external and internal) for the company, through, proper and timely communication, effective quality control, timeliness in construction completion, and achieving high levels of customer satisfaction.
    • Collaborate with other departments to resolve any construction issues.
    • Prevent fines and interruptions by complying with, and enforcing related codes and regulations.
    • Maintain safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following and enforcing standards and procedures; complying with local and company’s safety and legal regulations.
    • Continuously to work to develop and improve construction processes and procedures.
    • Monitor and track trades’ performance on site to ensure that jobs are progressing according to schedule.
    • Act as the subject matter expert in all construction related issues.
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date construction knowledge including all local, provincial and federal building code changes.

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

    • Completion or working towards Master Home Builder accreditation through the Professional Home Builders’ Institute.
    • 5 or more years of commercial or residential construction experience as a Construction Manager.
    • 3 or more years of work experience in project management.
    • Class 5 driver license in good standing.
    • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, field drawings and plans.
    • A solid understanding of all construction trades and construction techniques.

    Position Overview:
    This is a temporary position, for a 3-6 month term. The Landmark Group of Companies Inc. is seeking energetic Show Home Host / Hostess who is passionate about providing an exceptional customer service experience for our clients. You will greet clients, provide product information and assist in maintaining the physical appearance of the show home. This is a temporary, part-time position, hours are listed below.

    Location: Cochrane, AB
    Hours:
    Monday to Thursday 2:00 – 8:00pm
    Saturday and Sunday (& holidays) 12:00 - 5:00pm

    Responsibilities Include:
    • Greet visitors in the Show home.
    • Support customers throughout the sales process.
    • Assist in marketing and selling the company product.
    • Set up client meetings.
    • Provide product knowledge and information to perspective and new home buyers.
    • Assist in operating the Show home and maintaining an immaculate interior and exterior presentation.

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
    • High School Diploma.
    • Attention to details.
    • Basic computer skills.
    • Basic knowledge of residential building and construction practices an asset.
    • Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills.
    • A focus on customer service.
    • Self-motivated and goal oriented.
    • Available for weekday, weekends and evening hours of work.
    • Must have a reliable vehicle.
    • Comfortable working alone and with others.
